What Do I Do If MY DSC Alarm System Is Giving Me A Trouble Condition?
First, you need to stop your alarm from beeping. Punch in your user code and press the pound symbol (#) to disable the alarm.
Then, press the asterisk (*) followed by the number two to detect the issues on your alarm systems.
Your LCD will give you numbers running one through eight to let you know about potential errors. Below is a list of potential trouble conditions:
- Low battery
- Bell circuit
- General system trouble
- General system tamper
- Module supervision
- RF Jam detected
- PC5204 low battery
- PC5204 AC failure
If your alarm monitoring system is reflecting a low battery due to a power outage, you need to wait for 24-hours.
If the alarm panel still reflects a low battery at this point, you need to contact Guardsman Security to service your battery.
If your system reflects an AC power loss check your power supply to be sure it is plugged in. Also, check the fuses to be sure they have not blown in the process.
If it still is not working, Guardsman Security can come out to check to see if the transform needs replacement.
